Oath of Allegiance – The OOA

The overriding aim of The Oath of Allegiance community, is evoke change in both Government and broader public opinion, concerning our armed forces; and therein raise our profile within British Society, to one that mirrors the respect, service, and loyalty that our armed forces, have selflessly displayed towards the British people for centuries.

In many ways we are Britain’s “real civil servants”, historically defending British society, British interests (at home & abroad), and a British way of life, that so many take for granted. As a community, we feel we have earned the right to live, and participate in all aspects of civil life, including the right to access the health, housing and educational provisions of our own country, and accorded to our civilian neighbours, on the merits of need. This right has been earned with the lives, blood and sweat of every Sailor, Soldier and Airman who ever wore a uniform and taken a binding Oath (to the Queen, not the government); guaranteeing their loyal service to Crown and Country. Rather than the current state of affairs in which consecutive Governments have viewed our existence with disregard and ignorance.

As a largely time-served community, with an estimated population of 10 million within the United Kingdom, we have an effective voice that will, if unified in a common cause, be heard. We refuse to bow any longer to a political system, which treats us with disdain, and ask only that we be protected in Law as a consequence of our extraordinary service to the people of this once nation. Please join The OOA today, and help us bring about a lasting change to current government policies, which effectively renders us second-class citizens, in our own country.

Help change the dreadful conditions and unfair treatment, that consecutive governments have imposed on our courageous Armed Forces and Emergency Service personnel.

Please note: we are not affiliated to any political organisations, nor any past or current current UK political party, government or political party representative (nor do we tolerate anybody’s individual religion or political statements where they are discriminatory), any Armed Forces organisation, or any Emergency service’s organisation. We exist in isolation, with the one goal of securing a fair and respectable future for those who sacrifice so much every day of their working lives – We do however represent and support those charities doing such a good job, replacing services the successive governments should be otherwise be morally providing. And we reserve the right we choose as a body, those that we choose to represent, as we will, the right to establish mental presence in forthcoming governments – so they too are aware of our plights.

We are proud to have our own powerful, and legal voice, and we aim to use them to protect our country, our community, and our rights as human beings. We aim to do this lawfully through legitimate measures beginning with a peaceful demonstration against those who chose to challenge our right to live as equals in this great Nation.

We welcome you to the Social Network and Community web site of The OOA Organisation.

  1. I think it is the time to create an umbrella organisation led by the RBL which encompasses all militaryish charities for veterans and soldiers alike. The money could be collected centrally then re-distributed by application, it would appear that there is a plethora of charities for military benefit and this must be confusing to our generous public. With the damage caused by H4H in usurping every charity, there is a need to redress the balance and modernise how charity work is understaken. Also the sorts of salaries received in the doing of good works.

    • Sound idea in principle, but centralised control of funding and decision making for military charity donations. Bit dictatorial and who has the right to decide and govern? No one William!

  2. Something has to be done to stop this haemoraging of funds into H4H

  3. Look guys, H4H is not the enemy, they do a tremendous job in securing funds for servicemen and women. Lets face facts, the RBL needs to take stock and evolve. Speak to many of our servicemen and very few fully understand the aims of the Legion and even fewer are active members. The majority of branches are in decline and even without the sucess of H4H, there is no guarantee that those funds would have found its way into our funds. I think, and this is only my opinion mind, that the general public see the RBL as being stuck in the past whilst H4H is modern forward thinking and being seen to openly support those young men and women in Afghan. That is our fault and not theirs. So come on guys stop bleating get into your branches and campaign for change. You know it makes sense.

    • I think what is needed is for the military and veteran community to interrogate all these organisations and differentiate those that are charities with 100% volunteer workforces, those that have salaried staff and over extortionate expenses that deflate donations, and those where 100% goes direct to causes?

Infact I’m going to make it an aim in exchange for free advertising on here, to create a directory showing it – then volunteers and donators KNOW where their money is going!

IF THEY ARE WISE AND CHECK – PEOPLE WHO THROW IN BUCKETS LOOK AT PICTURES OF IRAQ AND JUST THROW IT IN.

H4H funds are supped up into about 4 other Parry enterprises by the way, separate from the charity – where they buy their merchandise is theirs for sure!

Merry Xmas and a prosperous 2012 to all!

  4. I support H4H, I was a Div Sec for SSAFA for ten years on leaving the forces I have been involved with most of all the Regtl Associations, Saying this I ,agree all Service personnel past and present should be treated the same, my wife Maureen wrote a letter to Mr Cameron expressing this and asking why we as a nation are sending money to other countries when it is needed more here.
